With the development of science and technology, the automation level of ship driving control is getting higher and higher, which requires the navigation equipment to have a digital interface. However, as a purely mechanical on-site reading instrument, the magnetic compass cannot convert the measurement readings into digital signals to send out. At this time, a heading sensor needs to be installed on the compass of the magnetic compass. The function of the heading sensor is to sense the change of the magnetic field in the compass, so as to calculate the current magnetic compass reading, and digitize the measurement result and send it to the external device.
The installation method of the magnetic compass heading sensor will have a great impact on the subsequent measurement accuracy. In the past, the heading sensor was usually directly attached to the center of the lobe with double-sided tape. This leads to two disadvantages:
On the one hand, the center position is subjectively determined by the installer, and there is a certain randomness and human error;
On the other hand, the double-sided tape cannot be removed after installation, nor can the position of the sensor be further adjusted. In this way, it not only brings great obstacles to the installation and subsequent debugging of the sensor, but also indirectly reduces the measurement accuracy and affects the overall performance of the magnetic compass.
The magnetic compass heading sensor installation device is a device that can solve the above shortcomings. Its working process is:
When installing, firstly apply glue evenly to the inner surface of the sensor base, then put the heading sensor into the inner surface of the sensor base to fix it, and use the connecting screws to fix the sensor base with the heading sensor installed on the bracket base, then Then install the bracket base on the magnetic compass basin. To prevent loosening, install a rubber pad between the bracket base and the magnetic compass basin.
After the installation is completed, the heading sensor is basically located in the center of the surface of the magnetic compass compass. Since all parts are hard-connected and not subjectively determined by the installer, the installation position is more uniform. The sensor bottom bracket is connected with the bracket base through the connecting screw. When the equipment is subsequently debugged, the direction of the heading sensor can be further adjusted by using the connecting screw as the rotation axis, which can effectively reduce the generation of installation errors.
The advantages of the magnetic compass are:
1. The first installation hole and the second installation hole of the magnetic compass heading sensor installation device are symmetrically arranged with the axis where the central circular hole is located, and the distances from the central circular hole to the first installation hole and the second installation hole are equal to ensure The heading sensor is located in the center of the lobe basin. Use the hole position on the base of the bracket to determine the installation position of the sensor, and no longer rely on the subjective judgment of the installer to determine the center of the lobe basin. The rotation adjustment of the sensor brings great convenience to the subsequent debugging of the equipment, and also improves the measurement accuracy of the sensor;
2. The magnetic compass heading sensor installation device has a simple and reasonable structure design, convenient and fast installation and operation, and simple processing and manufacturing of each component, which is suitable for mass production and can meet the installation requirements of the magnetic compass heading sensor.
